OPIC partners with National Language Broadcasters CRTV Buea to Enhance Sensitization efforts towards communities

National Language Broadcasters of CRTV South-West Regional Station have been engaged in the sensitization efforts of the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator. Some representatives of the association led by the CRTV Regional Station Nuwea Ben Modika held a working meeting on Friday, 25 March 2023 with the Public Independent Conciliator, Mme Telelen Dorothy Atabong spouse Motaze to discuss the partnership scheme.

The goal of the platform initiated by the Public Independent Conciliator is to sell the missions of OPIC to the population, Mme PIC told the broadcasters .  She explained that the raison d’etre of the platform is to enable citizens who are unlikely to follow regular CRTV radio programs in English during normal working hours be informed of the existence of the institution through programs in  the  mother tongue  usually broadcasted in  the evening period.

The CRTV Regional Station manager, Nuwea Ben Modika while speaking,  he expressed appreciation to the PIC for involving the National Language Broadcasters in its sensitization efforts. He described the initiative by the PIC as a recognition of the services rendered by the National Language Broadcasters to the population.  He went further to announce that a plan of action will be drawn,  an enlarged meeting summoned for all the broadcasters and a synopsis of the missions of OPIC prepared in order for the presentations to be uniform.  The campaign to begin from April will run for one month with each broadcast having a slot of 2 minutes.
