Some Female Political leaders in Buea, Junior Regional Council Bureau for the South-West Region paid Courtesy Visits to the PIC

Some female leaders of the Fako III section of the Women’s wing of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement on Thursday 16 February 2023 paid a courtesy visit to the Public Independent Conciliator, Mme Telelen Dorothy Atabong spouse Motaze.

The delegation led by the President of the WCPDM of the Fako III section Dr. Engome Regina Wotany was made up of the Vice president, Mrs Enjema Magdaleine Mbonde Vevange cum Deputy Mayor of the Buea Council, the Substantive parliamentarian for Buea Mme Enanga Georgiana Sanga and other bureau members. ‘We have to come wish you happy New Year 2023, long life and also appreciate the service you are rendering to the region and the State’ Dr. Engome Regina told the PIC.  ‘We as your sister have come to congratulate you for the job well done in 2023 and also encourage you to do more’ Mme Enjema Magdaleine Mbonde Vevange added.

The Public Independent Conciliator on her part thank the women for the kind gesture. She went further to explain the missions of the institution. She mentioned to her guest that institution is not a court, nor a supervisory authority over councils. The PIC also called on the women to form a synergy with the institution to strive for peace in the region, especially in bringing back the misled youths from the bushes.

As regarding the bureau of the Junior Regional Council for the South-West, they came to introduce themselves to the PIC after being elected in February 2023. They equally wanted to appreciate the engagement of Mme the PIC in selling the missions of the institution, show interest to work with OPIC as well as prepare the ground for future collaboration, Kengstsa Collins, the President told the PIC.

 Addressing the Junior Regional Council bureau members, the Public Independent Conciliator expressed happiness for the initiative taken by the President and his team to pay her a visit. She explained to her young guests that the institution she runs is pivotal in ensuring the peace in the South-West Region. It does so by resolving differences between users and local councils. ‘It doesn’t resolve private problems’, she stated emphatically.

The Youth Regional Councillors were also encouraged to sell the missions as well as exhorted to cheer their peers to make good use of the office.  While rounding her statement the PIC assured her young guests of the readiness of the Office to work with them.
